With the James Madison Dukes hot on their heels, the Colgate Raiders pulled off a 23–20 win in the second round of the NCAA Football Championship on Dec. 1, advancing Colgate to the quarterfinals. It was the first NCAA playoff game at Andy Kerr Stadium since 2003. A week later, the Raiders’ season ended with a 35–0 loss to No. 1–ranked North Dakota State in the Fargodome. Colgate’s 10-win campaign was only the fourth time in 128 seasons that they’ve accomplished that record. But, this was the second time in four years that the Raiders have made it to the NCAA quarterfinals.
