The United States Army Blues jazz combo featuring vocalist Cristal Rheams will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 8, at the Hall of Presidents in the Student Union.

The United States Army Brass Quintet will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, at Memorial Chapel.

Both performances are sponsored by the Eastern U.S. Music Camp, currently in its 29th season, and are free and open to the public. No tickets are required.

The brass quintet, the premier brass ensemble of the senior armed service, comprises Dennis Edelbrock, trumpet; Woody English, trumpet; Joseph Lovinsky, horn; Harry Watters, trombone; and Jack Tilbury, tuba.

It has premiered numerous compositions and inspired commissions and many new works and arrangements for brass. Performing for virtually every major national and international music convention and festival, the quintet has shared its talents with millions around the world through television, radio broadcasts, and recordings

The parent organization of both the quintet and the jazz combo is The United States Army Band, “Pershing’s Own,” based in Washington, D.C.
