CAPE COD, Mass.-Freshman defenseman Mike Campaner (Thunder Bay, Ont.) of the Colgate University men’s ice hockey team was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week for the third time this season on Monday.
Campaner figured in both of Colgate’s goals in the 2-1 win over St. Lawrence in the third game of the ECAC Tournament quarterfinals Sunday night at Starr Rink. He assisted on Darryl McKinnon’s power play goal in the first period and then scored the game winner at the 14-minute mark of the second period.
Campaner and the Raiders have advanced the ECAC Tournament semifinals and will face Clarkson on Friday at 4:30 p.m. at the Pepsi Arena in Albany, N.Y.
