Men’s Hockey Plays Home-And-Home Series With No. 13/14 Cornell This Weekend

HAMILTON, N.Y.The Colgate University men’s ice hockey team plays a home-and-home series with its travel partner Cornell University this weekend. The Raiders travel to Ithaca for Friday night’s game before returning to Starr Rink Saturday night.

Fans will have the opportunity to view both games as Friday night’s game will be televised on a one hour tape delay on Time Warner Cable, Channel 26 in the Syracuse area. Saturday night’s game will be webcast though i2sports.com.

Cornell (8-5-6, 6-3-3 ECAC) leads the all-time series 61-51-8 which dates back to the 1920-21 season. The Big Red also lead at home 31-18-4 but the series is tied 23-23-3 at Starr Rink. The two teams split the series last season with each team winning at home. Colgate (13-8-3, 8-4 ECAC) won the first game of the series on Adam Mitchell’s overtime goal and then lost the second game in Ithaca 3-1 two nights later.
