Hamilton, NY — Colgate University’s Africana and Latin American Studies Program presents its annual W.E.B. and Shirley Graham Du Bois Lecture, featuring David Levering Lewis, professor of history, New York University, and award-winning author. The lecture will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. in Love Auditorium. The lecture is free of charge and open to the public.
Lewis is the recipient of many awards and prizes, including the Pulitzer, Parkman, and Bancroft. His books include ‘W.E.B. Du Bois: The Fight for Equality and the American Century, 1919-1963,’ ‘W.E.B. Du Bois: Biography of Race, 1868-1919,’ and ‘King, A Biography: When Harlem Was in Vogue.’
