David Pinner to Present ‘An Evening of Dylan Thomas’ at
Colgate University Spring Poetry Series Reading April 6

Hamilton, NY — Fresh from his performance as Dylan Thomas in Colgate University Theater’s production of Dylan, accomplished actor and writer David Pinner will present a reading of the Welsh poet’s work on Thursday, April 6 at 4:30 p.m. in the Ho Lecture Room, Lawrence Hall. The reading is part of Colgate University’s Spring Poetry Series and is free and open to the public.

David Pinner currently serves as visiting associate professor of university theater and English at Colgate University. Prior to this role, Pinner has tread the boards on London’s stage and played key roles for the BBC’s television dramas. While playing the lead in The Mouse Trap in London’s West End, he wrote his first novel, Ritual (Hutchinson/Arrow), upon which the 1973 cult movie The Wicker Man was based. Pinner’s poetry has been widely published and read aloud for broadcast on BBC radio and television.
