Hamilton – The Colgate University’s Children’s Theater group, directed by Katherine Liepe Levinson, will present the colorful, energetic, and funny original play See You At The Circus on April 9 at 7:00 p.m. Admission to the play, which takes place in Brehmer Theater of the Dana Arts Center, is free and open to the public.
The circus is in town. The tents are up, the music is playing and the gates are about to open, but something is rotten in the world of performing tigers, bears, monkeys, and acrobats. Ringmaster Annie wants to get out of her contract with the circus so that she can go to New York City and become a soap opera star. Annie comes up with a plan and convinces Shelby, a little girl from the town, to help her. Animals disappear, clowns are changing, and friends begin to gossip about each other. Will the Ringmaster succeed in her plan, or will the circus performers and Shelby’s best friend, Shorty, save the show and all their friendships’
The Children’s Theater group, sponsored in part by the New York Times Company Foundation, will also bring See You At The Circus to area schools as well as New York City.
