It’s the start of a new month, and Outdoor Education Spring PE sign-up is alive again. From caving and bouldering to kayaking and paddle boarding, classes will begin after spring break. Secure your place today and Tuesday at the Coop from 10:15 a.m. to 2 p.m. or online at colgate.edu/outdoored before they are all booked!

For Africana Women’s week, there will be a keynote speech called “Redefining Realness” by Janet Mock at 7 p.m. today at Love Auditorium. The event will be an interactive discussion exploring womanhood, identity, and solidarity.

Mock is a writer, speaker, TV host, founder of #Girlslikeus, and the New York Times bestselling author of Redefining Realness: My Path to Womanhood, Identity, Love & So Much More. She is a sought-after speaker and prominent advocate for transgender rights.

Currently, she hosts the weekly culture show “So POPular!” on MSNBC’s Shift network and serves as contributing editor for Marie Claire.

On Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Love Auditorium, the two-time-TED-speaker, Kai Kight, will conduct a TIA Summit Series: Compose Your World.

An entrepreneur, innovative composer, and world-class violinist, Kai shows the value of an interdisciplinary mindset by performing original music that connects across genres. He believes in a future where all feel compelled to offer their unique passion to the world. This belief is seamlessly expressed through his work as a violinist and composer, where he cleverly blends classical technique with popular melodies and rhythms from today’s world.

And even if it is not your birthday on Friday, drop by the Chapel for “A Very Merry Unbirthday” at 9 p.m.

Taking note from “Alice in Wonderland”, a birthday party will be held to celebrate “unbirthdays” with cake, balloons, favors, and of course, party games! Come pin the tail on the donkey, break the pinata, and claim the last musical chair for prizes.

These are just a few of the many events happening this week at Colgate. For a full listing of events, check out the Colgate calender and have fun.
