Colgate student-athletes rank fourth nationally in graduation success rate

Colgate’s NCAA Graduation Success Rate is 98 percent for the third straight year, placing Raiders student-athletes fourth nationally in Division I for the second year in a row, according to data released last week.

The Raiders were joined by Stanford, Harvard, Yale, and Brown universities at the 98-percent mark, just ahead of Columbia, Duke, and Princeton.

“We are very proud of our student-athletes,” Director of Athletics Victoria M. Chun said. “It’s great to see where we rank nationally, as it’s a testament of what we value at Colgate.”

Colgate this year is one of just five Division I programs that have 20 or more sports teams compiling a perfect GSR of 100 percent. Along with Colgate in this elite group are Dartmouth, Harvard, Notre Dame, and Stanford.

Colgate had 17 of its Patriot League-sponsored teams record 100-percent graduation success rates, while Bucknell and Holy Cross each had 16.
