We asked students, 13 of them, of course, to each share a highlight from the past year at Colgate. The students were in the library finishing papers and prepping for finals before leaving for winter break. (Also see this look back at the Year of ’13.)

“I guess it was what recently just happened. The $5 million that Colgate raised. That was crazy! It really attests to how much Colgate and alumni really love each other. The support is tremendous.”

“Handing in my sociology thesis on Kanye West and Jay Z. It was the best moment of my life. I wanted to smack it into my professor’s hands, but he wasn’t there; so, I had to put it into his mailbox. It was really anticlimactic. But I’m still pretty happy about it.

“A memory I can think of now was on Halloween when my friends and I were 101 dalmatians. It was a really fun costume idea, and there were just a bunch of dalmatians running around campus.”
