Joshua Stacher joins President Herbst for a World Affairs Conversation

Joshua Stacher, fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, and assistant professor of political science at Kent State University joined President Jeffrey Herbst for a World Affairs Conversation.

Professor Stacher’s is the author of “Adaptable Autocrats: Regime Power in Egypt and Syria,” and is widely quoted in international media including NPR, the BBC, Al-Jazeera, and the New York Times.

His scholarship focuses on authoritarian durability and social movements in the Middle East and North Africa. This two-minute clip offers a preview of the lively conversation between these two renowned scholars.
