Men’s Lacrosse
The men’s lacrosse team set team and individual records while hosting the Patriot League finals at Andy Kerr Stadium.

From the gocolgateraiders website:

“As a team, the Raiders broke six tournament records including most team assists in a tournament (17), most points in a game (25) and in a tournament (45), most shots in a tournament (84), most man-up goals in a tournament (five), and fastest back-to-goals (five seconds).”

After defeating Bucknell on Friday, the Raiders fought valiantly against Lehigh, coming up short in their bid to get an automatic invitation to the NCAA finals. However, with the season they are having, they are still in the running for an at-large bid.

Women’s Lacrosse
The women’s lacrosse team traveled to Annapolis, Md., over the weekend for the Patriot League finals. The women were looking to win their fifth consecutive league title, but came up just short, losing a heartbreaker to Holy Cross 13-12. Here are highlights of the match.

Men’s Rugby
After finishing the season 13-0, the men’s rugby team won its semifinal to make it to the finals of the USA Rugby National Division II Tournament. Like last season, this season was dedicated to Victor Krivitski ’12, a rugby player who passed away in August 2011 after an eight-month battle with cancer. The rugby team played hard, making the final on Sunday before losing to Towson University.

NFL Draft
Colgate running back Nate Eachus signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League on Saturday. Eachus is the second Colgate running back to sign with the Chiefs, following the 1987 Walter Payton Award winner and College Football Hall of Fame member Kenny Gamble ’88.

Women’s Softball
The softball team swept the final two games of the weekend series against Holy Cross to earn a spot as the No. 3 seed in the Patriot League Tournament on May 10 in Bethlehem, Pa.
