SUTTON, Mass.Former Colgate University golfer Eli Zackheim ’01 placed second Wednesday at the 95th annual Massachusetts Open at Pleasant Valley Country Club.
Zackheim, playing minitour golf in New England for the second consecutive year, was tied for the lead with eventual winner Geoff Sisk through 36 holes. After the two remained even through the first nine holes, Sisk pulled away on the last nine with eight straight pars and a birdie. Zackheim finished the day with a 71 while Sisk shot a 69.
Zackheim has also played on the Cleveland Pro Tour since graduation.
