Men’s Track and Field Competes at the Terrapin Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, MD. – The Colgate men’s track and field team competed in the Terrapin Invitational at the University of Maryland on Saturday.  Freshman Michael Hanlon (Ann Arbor, Mich.) was the Raiders top-finisher with a first place performance in the 5,000 meters.  He crossed the finish line in 15:06.61.

 

Senior Louis DiNuzzo (Loudonville, N.Y.) took second in the steeplechase with a time of 9:34.32.  Senior Ian Hill (West Hartford, Conn.) was tenth in the 1500 meters with a mark of 4:02.61 and tenth in the 800 meters in 1:57.58.

 

Andrew Bloom (Westport, Conn.) threw 55 meters for fourth place in the javelin, while teammate Ethan Dodge (Chatham, N.Y.) was tenth with a throw of 46.5 meters.

 

Sophomore Dan Ellis (Pine Valley, N.Y.) finished 17th in the 100 meter dash, while senior Corey Stirpe (Halifax, Pa.) was 18th with a time of 11.43 seconds.  Sophomore Alex Fuller-Young came in 13th in the 400 meter hurdles in 58.56 seconds.

 

Junior Rob VanDine was 15th in the 400 meters with a time of 51.50, and Dan Ellis came in 19th in the 200 meter dash in 23.31.19.

 

The Raider men are back in action on April 10 as they head West Point, N.Y. to compete at Patriot League foe Army.
