Colgate Softball Clinches Berth In Patriot League Tournament

HAMILTON, N.Y. – With four games remaining in the Patriot League regular season, the Colgate softball team (31-11 overall, 11-5 Patriot League) has clinched its 14th straight berth in the league playoffs.

The Raiders, along with Lehigh and Army, will compete in the Patriot League Tournament on May 1-2. The fourth spot in the tournament will be determined on the final weekend in a four-game series between Holy Cross and Bucknell.

The regular season champion will host the tournament with the winner receiving an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. The Raiders, who won the Patriot League title in 1999 and 2003, are the defending champions.

Colgate has set a school record for wins in a season with 31. They have eight games left in the regular season.
