San Diego, Ca. – The women’s tennis team finished its spring break trip to California with a 2-1 record. Sunday, March 14, the Raiders shutout the University of New Hampshire by a 7-0 score. The following day the Raiders were upended by the Mountaineers of West Virginia by a 5-2 tally. Colgate finished the trip with a 6-3 victory over Point Loma. The Raiders are now 7-7 overall and begin Patriot League play against Bucknell on March 27.
Junior Marissa Alikpala and freshman Chloe Lipp were the only two Raiders to finish the trip undefeated. Alikpala went 3-0 at number one singles, while Lipp finished the trip 3-0 at number four singles. The doubles team of Jamie Maldow and Rebecca Smalley also finished undefeated at number three doubles play.
