Five Field Hockey Players Named To NFHCA National Academic Squad

HAMILTON, N.Y. Five Colgate University field hockey players were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) academic squad Wednesday.

In order to be eligible, a student-athlete must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 through the first semester of the 2003-04 academic year.

Junior Kath Shelley (Grand Rapids, Ohio) is making her third appearance on the academic squad while classmate Natalie Heller (Chadds Ford, Pa.) is on it for the second time in her career.

Sophomore Carolyn Daly (Newark Valley, N.Y.) is also on the squad for the second straight year and freshmen Molly Bate (Essex Fells, N.J.) and Sarah Reynolds (Lake Forest, Ill.) are first time honorees.
