Men’s Lacrosse Announces Four-Game Internet Radio Package

Hamilton, NY -For the second straight season, Colgate Men’s Lacrosse will provide live audio coverage over the Internet for selected contests. The four game broadcast package, which is free to listeners, includes all but one of the Raiders’ 2004 home games. Ted Rossman returns as the club’s play-by-play commentator, and Alex Clark will serve as a color analyst. Listeners will be able to access the broadcasts by clicking a link from the Colgate Athletics homepage (www.gocolgateraiders.com).

 

In 2004, Coach Jim Nagle’s Raiders return 16 of the 21 players who saw action in at least 10 games last season, including leading goal-scorer Jason Vasas (Fairport, N.Y.). The club went 8-7 a year ago, 4-2 in the Patriot League. Several familiar foes are on tap for this season, as 11 of the Raiders’ 14 games are against teams they played a season ago. The Raiders went 6-5 in those games.

 

The club’s broadcast slate begins on Tuesday, February 24 with a face-off at Tyler’s Field against non-conference foe Canisius. The Raiders have beaten the Golden Griffins each of the past two seasons, including a 12-8 victory last April in Buffalo.

 

Later in the week, on Saturday, February 28, the Raiders host St. Joseph’s in another Patriot League tune-up. The Raiders have dominated the Hawks of late, posting victories in Philadelphia each of the past two seasons by a combined margin of 30-14. Face-off is set for

 

The Raiders’ home Patriot League schedule begins on Saturday, April 3 as Lafayette comes to town for a tilt, the third of the four scheduled regular season broadcasts. The Raiders have beaten the Leopards in two straight seasons.

 

Colgate’s regular season broadcast schedule wraps up on Tuesday, April 20 with a home affair against conference rival Lehigh, a club the Raiders have bested three straight years. The Senior Night game is slated to begin at
