Hamilton, NY — It’s a three-peat for Colgate’s Kendall Chones, who becomes the first player to win the Patriot League Freshman of the Week award three times this season in men’s basketball ‘ and he did it in consecutive weeks.
Starting for injured senior Howard Blue, Chones hit 14-of-21 shots on the way to 31 points and added 13 rebounds in two games last week. He also extended his streak of double-digit scoring performances to seven straight games. He drained 8-of-13 shots in equaling his season-high total of 19 points against Holy Cross. Saturday vs. Army, he was 6-for-8 from the field for 12 points and missed a double-double by one board.
