CAPE COD, Mass.Freshman defenseman Mike Campaner (Thunder Bay, Ont.) of the Colgate University men’s ice hockey team was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Campaner had a hand in four of Colgate’s six goals over the weekend as he notched assists on all three of Colgate’s power play goals in the 3-3 tie at Vermont. He also assisted on Colgate’s first goal of the game at Dartmouth Saturday night.
This is the second league honor for Campaner this season as he was named the Rookie of the Week following the Dartmouth/Vermont series two weeks ago.
Colgate hosts Yale and Princeton in two ECAC games this weekend at Starr Rink. Both games start at 7 p.m.
