Men’s Cross Country Takes Third in the IC4A Five Mile Run

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Colgate University men’s cross country team placed third behind New Hampshire and Syracuse University at the IC4A five mile run hosted by Fordham University on Saturday.

Senior Louis DiNuzzo was the Raiders top-finisher, crossing the line sixth overall in a time of 25:51.  Michael Hanlon finished second for Colgate and 13th overall in 26:29.

Jake Krong followed Hanlon by just three seconds to seal up 16th place.  Sophomore Sean Curran’s time of 26:45 was good enough for a 22nd place finish.  Senior tri-captain Travis Brooks finished in 26:51 and crossed the line 24th overall.  Senior Kyle Barrett finished in 38th with a time of  27:27.

Andrew Isabel was 42nd in 27:33 and Jon Barinholtz finished 66th with a time of 28:18.  The IC4A race marks the end of team competition for the Raiders.  Senior Xavier deBoissezon will compete at the NCAA Cross Country Championship at Northern Iowa on Monday,  Nov. 24.
