CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Colgate women’s swimming and diving team was selected fourth in the Patriot League preseason poll. The Raiders are tied with Army with a total of 59 points. Last year’s champion Bucknell is first with 96 points followed by Navy and Lehigh. American, Lafayette and Holy Cross round out the poll.
Senior Alice Garnett leads the Raiders into the campaign. Garnett was a 2002-03 all-league performer and took home top honors in the 400 individual medley. Meghan Binder and Chrissy Zaika, both 2002-03 all-leaguers, return for another season in the pool.
Colgate begins its season Friday, October 17, when Syracuse travels to Lineberry Natatorium for a 4 p.m. meet.
