Hamilton, NY — The Colgate women’s soccer team has cracked the top 10 in two Northeast Region polls. Soccerbuzz.com places Colgate in a 10th place tie with Brown, while the NSCAA/Adidas places Colgate eighth.
The Raiders enter the polls after a 3-1 victory over Patriot League foe American. Kelly Kuss (Warners, N.Y.) tallied two goals, Kate Barrett (Troy, N.Y.) scored the game-winner and added an assist and Kyle Koch (Niskayuna, N.Y.) assisted on two scores.
Colgate is currently 7-4 (2-1 PL), good for a first-place tie in the Patriot League. Two key matches highlight the Raiders schedule this week. Colgate travels to Ithaca to battle the Big Red of Cornell on Wednesday, October 8 at 7 p.m. Saturday, Patriot League foe Holy Cross comes to Hamilton for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
