Golf Ties For Eighth Out of 15 Teams at the Lehigh Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pa.The Colgate University golf team tied for eighth out of 15 teams at the Lehigh Golf Invitational held on Sunday and Monday. The Raiders fired a two-day total of 650, which tied them with Hofstra and St. Francis (Pa.).

The Mountain Hawks won their own tournament after winning the tiebreaker over Siena. The teams used the scores of the fifth golfer to determine the winner.

Fordham placed third with a team score of 625 while Drexel took fourth with a score of 626. Delaware finished fifth with a score of 631 and Lafayette was one shot behind with a 632 for sixth. Bucknell garnered seventh with a 637 and Wagner took 11th with a 651. Mt. St. Mary’s was 12th with a 653 and the University of Ottawa finished 13th with a 655. Monmouth (657) and Manhattan rounded out the field.

Colgate is next in action at the Binghamton B.C. Open on Saturday, Oct. 18 and Sunday, Oct. 19.
