Golf Ties For Fifth at the American University Classic

American University won its own golf tournament Monday as the Eagles finished with a score of 597 at Rome Country Club.

Long Island University placed second with a 604 while LaSalle and Mount St. Mary’s tied for third with scores of 626. Colgate, Fairfield and Holy Cross tied for fifth with scores of 636s.

Individually, Sean Donnelly of Long Island took medalist honors after shooting a 141 on rounds of 71 and 70.

Senior Sean Cusick (Westwood, Mass.) led the way for the Raiders with a two-round total of 147 on a 72 and a 75.

Colgate is next in action on Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Bucknell University tournament.
