Field Hockey Drops 2-1 Non-Conference Decision to Rider

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.— The Colgate University field hockey team snapped a three game winning streak with a 2-1 non-conference loss to Rider Sunday afternoon. 
 
With the loss, Colgate drops to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the Patriot League while Rider improved to 5-2 overall. 
 
Rider took an early 2-0 lead on goals by junior Maddy Boulden at 13:14 and sophomore Ally Hunter at 28:51. The Raiders cut the score to 2-1 just 42 seconds into the second half as sophomore Lyndsay Dinatali (Cheshire, Conn.) scored her first collegiate goal. 
 
The Broncs outshot the Raiders 21-7 and outcornered them 16-7. 
 
Freshman goalkeeper Jacque DeMarco (Hudson, Ohio) finished with 11 saves while Rider freshman goalkeeper Krysta Bearish made three stops. 
 
Colgate travels to Holy Cross for a Patriot League match-up on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 12 p.m.
