Hamilton, NY — Colgate University softball coach Vickie Sax has announced that Nichole Rawson will transfer to Colgate from Marist College this fall.

Nichole Rawson (Palmdale, CA/Highland H.S.) will be joining her twin sister, Natalie, who has been all-Patriot League for the Raiders the last two seasons.

‘I’m really excited that Nichole is joining our program,’ said Sax.  ‘She is an outstanding softball player who should help our program immediately.’

Nichole Rawson had a .274 batting average in two seasons with the Red Foxes while scoring 33 runs, driving in 39 runs, and smashing 10 doubles and 10 home runs.  She was named second team all-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference in 2001.  She played third base and pitched for Marist.

Nichole is the third Rawson to play for Colgate.  Her older sister, Melissa, was the 2003 Patriot League Player of the Year.
