I realized that I actually did miss the place.

I stopped by the Admissions office this morning to chat on my way up the hill.  A few of us were standing in the hallway discussing the incredibly above normal temperatures, reality television, and the progress of my thesis.  Some dispersed and returned to their desks to work, and I gathered my bag to head up the hill.

‘Hey Jess, you want to go to Frank Dining Hall and grab lunch”

I hadn’t been to Frank in over a year and welcomed the opportunity to reconnect with a place I spent many an hour with friends.  He and I joked about how different the place seemed, and about how amazing it is for a senior to find themselves surrounded by food they didn’t have to cook.

I never ate lunch: we spent the forty-five minutes wandering around talking to people.  And I realized that I actually missed the place.
