CENTER VALLEY, Pa. American junior Jen Baclawski, the 2002 Women’s Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year, recorded a 3.89 grade-point average (GPA) during the fall semester and was among the 46 student-athletes named to the 2002 Patriot League Women’s Cross Country Academic Honor Roll, announced today by Carolyn Schlie Femovich, Patriot League Executive Director. Holy Cross senior Kerry Farrelly was the lone women’s cross country student-athlete to register a perfect 4.00 GPA last semester.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the seven League-sponsored fall championship sports.

A total of 510 student-athletes were named to the League’s Fall Academic Honor Roll, including 20 with 4.00 GPAs. The Fall Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball.

Bucknell led the way with 111 candidates on the League’s Fall Academic Honor Roll. On the Women’s Cross Country Academic Honor Roll, the Bison captured 17 spots and Holy Cross finished second with eight student-athletes on the list.
