ANNAPOLIS, MD  – The Colgate University men’s soccer team continued its’ offensive struggle this evening with a 1-0 Patriot League defeat at the hands of the Midshipmen of Navy.

Colgate was held scoreless for the fifth time in twelve games this season and dropped to 4-5-3 on the season and 1-3-0 in the Patriot League.

Navy scored the game’s lone goal at 60:03 when Dan Montgomery scored his sixth goal of the season.  Joe Snyder got the assist on the tally.

Shots were even at 14 apiece and Navy outcornered Colgate 3-2.

Will Martin (Excelsior, MN/Breck) continued his excellent play in net making three saves and lowering his goals against average to 1.05, but the offense continues to give him no support.

Colgate returns to action Wednesday at home when they host Siena at 4 p.m.
