Hamilton, NY — Colgate’s Faculty Features at Midday series will welcome Rivermist Brass on Tuesday, February 19 in Memorial Chapel. Rivermist is a fairly new face on the central NY chamber music scene. The brass ensemble’s members include Ronald Stewart, teacher of trumpet at Colgate and principal in the Colgate University Orchestra, Donald Goodness (trumpet), David DiGennaro (trombone), April Rando (French horn), and Jason Ladd (tuba). This stellar cast will present an hour-long program of brass works by Poulenc, Ewald, and a Samiel Scheidt composition arranged by Verne Reynolds. The ensemble has previously been heard on the Society for New Music’s Cazenovia Counterpoint series and at the society’s 35th annual Composers’ Celebration.
