HUMANITIES COLLOQUIUM SERIES AT COLGATE UNIVERSITY: NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER OFFERINGS

Hamilton, NY — The Colgate University Humanities Colloquium series will offer three lectures in November and one in December that are all free and open to the public. The series is scheduled for Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m. in the Ho Lecture Room, Lawrence Hall.

On Tuesday, November 7, Omid Safi, assistant professor of philosophy and religion at Colgate, will discuss ‘Bargaining with Saints: Persian Sufis, Politics and Western Scholars.’

On Tuesday, November 14, the speaker will be Ignacio Arellano Ayuso, Olive B. O’Connor Professor of literature in Colgate’s romance languages and literatures department, who will speak about ‘The Universal Calder
