Hamilton, NY — The Colgate University Chamber Players will present their first public concert of the season on Sunday, November 12, in Memorial Chapel at 3:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. For more information, or a complete 2000-2001 concert calendar, call the Colgate Concertline at 315-228-7642.

Sunday’s program will feature excerpts from the String Quartet in D Major, Op. 50, No. 6 and Trio for Piano & Strings in F Major, Hob. XV: 6 by Franz Joseph Haydn; Quartet for Piano & Strings in G minor, K. 478 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; String Trio in C minor, Op. 9, No. 3 by Ludwig van Beethoven; and the ever-popular first movement of the Brahms’ Sextet for Strings in G Major, Op. 36.

The Chamber Players welcome four new members, all first-year students, to their ranks this season. Maho Ishiguro of Hachioji City, Tokyo, Japan, and Kseniya Melnik of Anchorage, Alaska, are pianists. Rebecca Ackerman, from Carlisle, PA, and Eileen Kisilis, from Avon, CT, are violinists. Their addition, which required an audition, brings the number of Chamber Players to eleven, from which various small chamber ensembles are formed.
