VIRTUOSO ORGANIST JOAN LIPPINCOTT
TO PERFORM AT COLGATE

HAMILTON – Virtuoso organist Joan Lippincott will bring a delightful treat to the Colgate University Concert Series when she will play an All-Bach program in the Colgate Memorial Chapel, on Sunday, October 31 at 3:30 p.m. The New York Times has called Ms. Lippincott ‘a dynamic interpreter of high standard,’ and she is renowned as a Bach specialist. Joan Lippincott is principal university organist at Princeton University and professor of organ at Westminster Choir College of Rider University.
Lippincott’s performance will include the following works: Prelude and Fugue in C Major (BWV 547), selections from the Leipzig Chorales, the Toccata and Fugue in F Major (BWV 540), Piece d’Orgue in G Major (BWV 572), Trio Sonata No. 1 in E flat Major (BWV 525), and the Passacaglia in C minor (BWV 582). The concert will be played the Franklin G. Brehmer Memorial Organ, a four-tier pipe organ designed by Walter Holtkamp. Admission is free and the public is invited to enjoy this rare opportunity.
