Colgate’s Spring Festival Of Plays
To Feature Shakespeare

Hamilton – Colgate University Theater will present its Spring Festival of Plays April 14-18 in Brehmer Theater of the Dana Arts Center on campus. This year’s festival will feature short versions of Shakespeare plays.
Each of the one-act productions is written, directed, designed, acted, and built by students at Colgate. According to Jacques Levy, director of University Theater, ‘This festival, our last production of the season, is the most important project of the theater program in any given year, the project that most closely reflects the spirit and the goals of this program.’
Program A, with shows at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14 and Friday, April 16 and at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, will feature Twelfth Night, Hamlet, and The Taming of the Shrew.
Program B, with shows at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 15 and Saturday, April 17 and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 18, will feature Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream..
Tickets are $3.00 per individual show, or $5.00 for tickets to one showing each of programs A and B. For reservations, which are recommended, call 228-7641 or 7639.
